MIDIMate

Atari SIO to MIDI Device. Yes you can use your Atari 8-bit to program and play MIDI Devices. I will add more to this when I find My MIDI Mate Software.

Atari SX212 Modem

SX212 Modem. This Modem is a 300 to 1200 Baud Modem with two type of support. It can attach to the Atari Sio Port or it can be attached to an R-Device Like the MIO or Black Box.

Atari 1050 Happy Drive with Controller.

This was my second drive and the drive that I used the most. I later purchased another 1050 happy drive to use on my BBS System.

Atari 1050 Duplicator with Happy Cheerup and fuzzy sector mod!

This was my first drive and my most modified drive. I would use this drive when I made special blank disks with copy protection on it. I sold my copy protection to several companies and software to create there production disks.

Atari 1050 Super Archiver with Bit Board

This was the last 1050 disk drive upgrade I purchased. It was also the only drive upgrade that did everything that it was advertized to do.

Indus Double Density Drive

This is the only stock drive I have used. There is an upgrade for this drive even though I never purchased it. I hate this drive. It is the only one that uses a different power. I was given this drive and I am sure it is going in the trash soon! This drive does do double density.

SF551 with a Puff 720k Drive Mod

The XF Single Drive Upgrade

The XF 3.5 inch Single Drive Upgrade for your XF551 disk drive will double your storage space to 720kB by replacing your 5.25 inch, 360kB floppy with a new 3.5 inch, 720kB floppy disk drive. This is not to be confused with public domain upgrades. Our custom chip and brain module provide true Ultra Speed compatibility (extremely fast operation with compatible sector copiers and DOSes), and eliminate incompatibilities with software. The upgrade is designed so that it will work with a 5.25 inch drive should you ever need to switch back to it.

Included in our kit is a high quality, 3.5 inch floppy drive mounted in a 5.25 inch frame so as to provide a perfect fit inside your XF551. Also included is a program which allows you to read IBM and Atari ST disks on your converted drive. Built-in text translation is featured for easy porting of PC/ST text files into 8-bit word processors.

In addition to the Puff upgrade Bob Woolley also did an upgrade that just modified a few bytes in the Atari Rom to make it work with the 720k Drives. Puffs upgrade is faster but Woolley upgrade requires only the 8k rom to be changed. In my eprom download area I have a copy of the Woolley rom that just need to be burn onto a chip.
